Вот поэтому нет смысла тащить FreeBSD, NetBSD или OpenBSD - они безнадежно растолстели еще в ранней молодости. :)
Надо начинать с девственной 4.4bsd-Lite2 и плясать от печки. Использовать RetroBSD в качестве прототипа.
