Наша контора объявляет прием на работу. Нужны инженеры-электронщики, схемотехники, специализирующиеся на разработке, верификации и тестировании цифровой электроники.  Несколько вакансий в Лондоне, долине Сан Франциско и Орегоне (Портланд).  Тут на днях задали вопрос нашему директору, где фирма в основном собирается нанимать людей, у нас ведь порядка двадцати отделений по миру.  Где найдем талантливого инженера, там и возьмем, говорит.

а какими инструментами требуется владеть? правда, я в любом соучае слишком стар.

Возраст не волнует. А также пол, национальность, вероисповедание, семейное положение, политические взгляды и т.п. :)
Список умений там есть по ссылкам - он отличается для разных вакансий.

Например, обязательные требования для Emulation Test Engineer:

• Minimum 3 years software testing experience including automated testing. Should be familiar with industry standard automated testing tools.
  
• Knowledgeable of testing procedures for functional and regression testing.
  
• Experience developing test cases, test plans and writing test scripts.
  
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with other team members and end users.
  
• Masters or BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  
• Must be proficient with the Linux environment including configuration and kernel building.
  
• Proficient in scripting languages Perl/Python.
  
• Proficient in programming C/C++/Tcl/Expect.
  
• Experienced with writing from Perl or Python into SQL databases.
  
• Experience with writing Linux directed test user applications is highly desired.

Обязательные требования для Hardware Design Engineer:

• Strong logic design, micro-architecture and problem solving skills
  
• Proficient in high-performance and low-power design techniques
  
• General knowledge of microprocessor and computer system architecture
  
• Strong knowledge of HDL languages (Verilog preferred), RTL and logic simulator, and debug tools.
