Программисты народ старомодный. Не удовлетворившись голливудским качеством, народ переделал Star Wars в формат ASCII. На Линуксе кино запускается следующими командами:
    apt-get install termsaver
    termsaver starwars

Здесь можно посмотреть со звуком:

Оно вроде с любой системы доступно как telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl

Нет такого пакета для Убунту :( Но по телнету работает.

Значит, он не в стандартных репозиториях. В общем, apt-get его не нашел.

А вот почему ASCII-арт живёт, а ANSI-арт загнулся? В последнее время вообще не вижу экспериментов с ANSI, но часто попадаются ASCII.

Я смотрел эту штуку на эмуляторе PDP-11, гоняющем RSX - нода HECnet под названием CTAKAH. Собственно, оно даже сейчас работает, можете проверить (после логина запустить wars).
